An ex-employee set a different password on her machine. How can I remove that password or change it to something where I can get into the system? Thanks!

Brad,

If you have the administrator login, or a user with admin equivalent rights, you can login with that admin user and reset the ex-employee's password. There are also free tools available online to reset the password, if you have no other alternatives. Here is one example:
